Request to reproduce BOR and amendment to Letters Patent
I enclose a copy of a letter dated 14 October
1992, addressed to the Attorney General. I understand that your department is the authority for granting permission to reproduce matters that are subject to Crown copyright, at least as far as the Hong Kong Government is concerned. I have therefore informed Mr. Johannes Chan that I am passing his letter to you.
2.
The amendment to the Letters Patent l (copy enclosed) was effected in London, and published in the HK Government Gazette. In these circumstances, I do not know whether you are able to grant permission to reproduce the instrument, or whether an authority in the UK must be contacted.
3.
Please note that Legal Department has no objection to the proposed publication of the instruments in a book on the Bill or Rights.
