Dear Bridget,

HMCCS Police Officers : Posts in other Dependent Territories

Thank you for your letter of

53 November and the

confirmation that the Overseas Police Adviser will ensure that vacancies are circulated to RHKPF.

I take the point about recruitment taking place in UK,

but I wonder whether the same arrangements could be applied to our Police Officers as have been applied to our In other words the Hong HMOCS Administrative Officers? Kong Government would forward annual confidential reports for the last 3 years together with a detailed assessment and recommendations. In the case of our Administrative Officers they will be considered by the FCO postings board

interview. and there is no need to attend any

detailed mechanics of I am not sure of the Police selection, but we would be loathe to advise officers to go

UK at their own expense unless it was something like the final selection board interviews. preliminary assessment system around this difficulty.
