POSTS IN OTHER DEPENDENT TERRITORIES : SECURITY VETTING

16

She is

1.

Please refer to Ms Williams' minute of 28 July 1992. correct in assuming that posts in other DTs for which Hong Kong HMOCS might apply will require candidates to be cleared to PV (S) or PV(TS). Holders of such posts are cleared by ODA security and full checks have been made on the present incumbents.

2.

!

This does not however preclude members of the HMOCS in Hong Kong from being vetted to the required level, if they do not already hold the appropriate level of clearance. Our Vetting Section enjoys a very good relationship with the Hong Kong Police who will undertake checks in the colony on our behalf. We therefore foresee no problem in undertaking the necessary checks if a member of HMOCS in Hong Kong is selected for a post in another ᎠᎢ.
