(b) additional leave if granted to an officer on transfer or reversion to other public service shall not be of effect except to such extent and upon such conditions as may be approved on behalf of the Government or other authority by whom the officer is employed in such other public, service; and in any event shall not be carried forward, by the officer to such employment as aforesaid.

(3) Additional leave shall be service qualifying for pension, but shall not- be taken into account for the purpose of calculating compensation for loss of career

7(1) Where an entitled officer applies to retire pursuant to the pro- Visions of paragraph 2 or is informed that he is required to retire pursuant to the provisions of that paragraph, then there shall be paid to "such officer," so far as is practicable, not later than seven days before the date on which he relinquishes his duties or the date of transfer of powers, whichever is the earlier, any gratuity payable to him under the provisions of sub-paragraph, (3) or (4) of paragraph 3; any compensation for loss Karangah 4 and any of career payable to mim under the provisio disturbance, grant payable to him under the provisions of paragraph 6: and in the event that any sum by way of such gratuity or such compensa, tion for loss of career or part thereof or such disturbance grant shall remain unpaid the Governor shall, before the date of transfer of powers, cause to be deposited with the appointed agents sufficient funds to meet any payment due.

(2) Where an officer is transferred before the date of transfer of powers in circumstances whereby the provisions of paragraph 5 apply, there shall be paid to such officer, so far as is practicable, not later than seven days before the date on which he relinquishes duties in the Colony or the date of transfer of powers, whichever is the earlier, any compensation payable to him under the provisions of that paragraph and any disturbance grant payable to him under the provisions of paragraph 6; and in the event that any sum by way of such compensation or disturbance grant or part thereof shall remain unpaid the Governor shall, before the date of transfer of powers, cause to be deposited with the appointed agents sufficient funds to meet any payment due.

(3) If an entitled officer shall before the date of transfer of powers have intimated as provided in sub-paragraph (4) of paragraph 5 that he is desirous of a transfer to other public service and a date shall have been appointed on which he shall relinquish duties as provided in sub- paragraph (5) of the same paragraph then the Governor shall before the date of transfer of powers cause to be deposited with the appointed agents sufficient funds to meet the compensation for which such officer may be eligible pursuant to paragraph 5 and any disturbance grant for which he may be eligible under paragraph 6.

(4) Where an entitled officer is granted a pension or compensation for loss of career under paragraphs 3 and 4 the Governor shall cause to be deposited with the appointed agents a sum equal to so much of the disturbance ; allowance and pensionable emoluments and allowance in respect. of additional leave, to which such officer may be entitled under paragraph 6, as has not been paid to him before the date of transfer of powers.

(5) Any monies deposited with the appointed agents pursuant to the provisions of this paragraph may be paid to any officer eligible to receive the same on the authority of a Secretary of State.
