When approval is given for a contract officer to transfer to the permanent establishment, he has an option to augment his pensionable service by buying back his previous agreement service through refund of gratuity payments plus interest. He may buy back the entire period of his previous service or a lesser period covering tour/tours of agreement service Our latest immediately prior to his transfer. Circular Memorandum dated 2.4.92 on this subject and conditions governing the refund of contract gratuities are at Annexes C & D respectively.
