Terms of Employment of Overseas Officers

Please refer to Civil Service Branch Circular No. 6/85 and my memorandum (14) in AP 241/44-C (88) II of 22 March 1988 which announced the extension of the deadline for applications for transfer to the permanent establishment from 31 March 1988 to 31 March 1989.

As indicated in my previous memorandum, action has been taken to process the 148 applications which were received before 1 April 1988 as well as 20 applications received during the extension period. The present position is that 153 applications have been processed and decisions on the remaining 15 applications can be expected soon.

3.

It has now been decided that the deadline should be further extended to 31 March 1990. Applications will continue to be processed as soon as possible after receipt.

I should be grateful if you would bring this decision to the attention of all overseas agreement officers in your department.
