to meet HKG's requirements; and why the
Anglo-Japanese rather than the HK International Consortium
should be awarded the contract. We are conscious of the need to
protect Hyundai from having their commercial reputation unnecessarily damaged.

first thing on 7 May. We have also arranged briefing sessions with the Airport Consultative Committee, Finance Committee and
the Press on 7 May. A draft press statement will also issue to
explain in full the decision of the CTB (attached at Annex B)
