CIVIL SERVICE (DISCIPLINARY) REGULATIONS 1988
In exercise of the powers conferred by Colonial Regulations and otherwise, the Governor has made the following Regulations
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Service (Disciplinary) Regulations 1988.
2.(1)(a) These Regulations apply to any Category B officer.
(b) Regulations 3,4 and 5, in addition to applying to any Category B officer, also apply to any other officer in the Civil Service.
(2) In these Regulations Category B officer' means any officer who

(a)
holds a non-established office;
(b) holds an established office either on
month-to-month terms or probationary terms; or
(c) holds an office on agreement terms.
Any notice or other document required to be served or given to an officer in connection with any investigation into allegations of misconduct may be so served or given by being -

(a) given to him personally;
(b)
(၁)
sent by registered post to his last known address; or
left at his last known address.
An officer against whom any criminal proceedings are being instituted shall forthwith report the fact to the Head of his Department. In the case of an officer who is himself the Head of Department, he shall report the proceedings to the Secretary for the Civil Service.
(2)
The Head of Department shall forthwith inform the Secretary for the Civil Service of the institution of criminal proceedings against any officer of his department, unless the offence, in his opinion, is of a minor nature and
(a) does not reflect adversely on the character
of the officer; and
(b)
is not likely to bring the public service into disrepute;
