Uniform is worn on such occasions as are customary and on

such other occasions as may be directed by the Governor. the Governor is wearing uniform on any occasion, all others entitled to wear uniform should do so. Examples of customary occasions are a) on first arrival; b) Queen's Birthday; c) opening of the Legislature; d) Armistice Day

and e) Investitures.

Governors may, at their discretion, wear morning dress on

those ceremonial occasions when the Governors' Uniform would

normally be worn.

At formal official dinner parties in some

parties in some territories it is usual for the Governor and his guests to wear evening dress.

At other dinner parties dinner jackets may be worn.

In many

Territories a white mess jacket is approved in place of

evening dress. In smaller territories a lounge suit may be worn at an ordinary dinner party (or even informal dress at

a buffet supper).

ORDERS, DECORATIONS AND MEDALS

Full-size Orders (including the Riband of a Knight Grand

Cross) Decorations and Medals will be worn always with the

Special Uniform, and with the White Uniform at Court in the United Kingdom and on ceremonial occasions overseas at the

Governor's discretion. On other occasions the ribands only

of Orders, Decorations and Medals will be worn with the

White Uniform.

When the Undress Uniform is worn with the cocked hat, small ribands of Orders, Decorations and Medals should be worn on the breast, with not more than one Star of an Order (except that a Second Star, or a Foreign Order, may be worn on

appropriate occasions). The OM and CH will be worn around
