identical terms to seven other MPs and Ministers. written a further nine identical letters to senior officials and to the Hong Kong Government Political Adviser. We are acknowledging all the letters that have been forwarded to us with a single Departmental reply, a copy of which I enclose.
Mr Cahill's possession of a confidential telegram is a matter of concern. The telegram was released under a Public Interest Immunity Certificate for consideration by the court during Mr Osman's fourth habeas corpus application. Mr Cahill has been informed that the
telegram is a privileged document, and that he should not make any improper use of it.
