Disciplined Services Class - Potentially Successful Applicants in the

Customs and Excise Service

PROBLEM

The profiles of applicants from the Customs and Excise Service under the Disciplined Services Class are ready for consideration by members. Subject to members' agreement, personality checks and verification interviews will be triggered for the potentially successful applicants falling within the quota for the Customs and Excise Service.

ADVICE SOUGHT

2.

Members will be invited to -

a)

consider the applicants' profiles of the Customs and Excise Service to be tabled at the coming meeting;

b)

c)

advise whether personality checks and verification interviews should be initiated for the 400 applicants with the highest provisional scores at or above the quota line; and

advise that in the event any of these 400 applicants fail the personality checks or verification interviews, whether Immigration Department should proceed with such checks and interviews for applicants with ranking

ranking positions falling immediately below the quota line to make sure that all the 399 places will be filled.
