PERSONALITY CHECKS AND VERIFICATION INTERVIEWS

Subject to members' advice that the award of Special Circumstances points to recognise special skills or expertise among applicants in this approved occupation is not necessary, the potentially successful applicants falling within the quota are ready for personality checks and verification interviews. Cases where applicants fail to score any points for experience because of their failure to produce proof to substantiate their claims at the verification interview will be brought to the attention of the Steering Committee.

In the event that any of the 42 failing the personality checks and verification interviews, it is proposed that Immigration Department should proceed with such checks and interviews for applicants with ranking position falling immediately below the quota line to ensure that all the 42 places will be taken up.

Members' advice will be sought again on a finalised list of potentially successful applicants when we have completed personality checks and interview, before we approach the Governor for recommendation to the Secretary of State to proceed with registration.
