1. Doctors in general do not have high

propensity to emigrate. Some of them emigrate by reasons of investment or retirement.

2. Findings of a survey indicate that

63% of respondents plan to leave HK Gov't and 80% will stay if benefitted under the scheme.

3. As independent professionals,

medical doctors do not receive preferential treatment from major emigration countries e.g. Australia and Canada. New Zealand gives a higher rating to all medical doctors.
