RE: INDUSTRIAL INVESTMENTS BY EX- HONGKONG BRITISH NATIONALS
We at this NGO, in conjuction with the Kenyan contact for the large group of Hong Kong British nationals who have expressed desire to invest in Kenya various industrial projects and other professions, are pleased to be involved in this promotion through your Ministry and the Industrial Promotion Services:

We are given to understand these family groups would each invest about USD 200,000 and employ not less than 20 Kenyans and bring development enchancement to our Rural Areas outside Nairobi, Mombasa and other major Kenyan towns

Further, in consideration of their substantial investment they would like to be considered for naturalization as they will be stateless at the end of 1997 when the British colony of Hong Kong reverts to Chinas rule. They understand of course, that they would be subject to Kenya's vetting process, and possibly necessary recommendations by the British Government
Please let us know both the Government and your Ministry's view on the appropriate potentiality of these investments so that the needful investment ground work can be started urgently: DUCAPA will assist in the identification of the various industries with advice fro IPS and your Ministry.
