You organised a brilliant programme for me on Thursday morning in Hong Kong.

Thank you very much indeed. The visit to the observation post gave me a vivid impression of the real work of the Army and Police at the border and the experience of following you down the winch onto the patrol craft would always have been imprinted on my mind even if the Dail Mail and The Independent had not printed photographic evidence, passed to them by one of your bright sparks. I should be grateful if you would pass my warm thanks to the many people who were involved.
