Dear Sir,

re Proposed Private Treaty Grant of the

Colvin House site for the future British Consulate - General

Further to our meeting on the 4th November 1991, please find attached hereto a copy of the draft conditions applicable to the grant of the site for the future British Consulate General. I understand from our meeting that you may wish to comment on several of the Special Conditions. However, I must remind you that it would be difficult to alter any of the General Conditions as they have already been agreed by the Land Commission.

Special Condition (2)(b) relates to deferred possession of a strip of land, this is necessary as the area is currently a public road providing access to various buildings. Once the proposed new road is constructed, the existing road will no longer be required and possession of the area will be granted to you. However, the indication is that construction of the new road will not commence until at least 1996.

Special Condition 8 refers to trees and I I have attached here to a plan which roughly indicates trees considered to have high amenity value and also shows two trees which are Of a rare species. You will also be aware of two areas of wooded slopes one between the existing Colvin House and the Hong Kong Park, the other between Colvin ↑ House and the building known as Regent on

on the Park. I÷ would be appropriate to hold on early meeting on site to

discuss the tree issue.
