Hong Kong have expressed interest in extension of this Convention to them (as a replacement for their series of bilateral time-limited drug-trafficking agreements).
Ms Bourne's minute to Miss Brooks (undated) and my minute to
Ms Bourne of 19 February are the latest correspondence of
which I am aware. As you can see, HKD would have no
difficulty with extension to Hong Kong but Hong Kong raised
legal questions concerning reservations, action on which
rests with ERD and Legal Advisers.
