Thank you for your letter of 6 February to Mike Stone about future extradition arrangements between Hong Kong and Canada.

I can confirm that we have set in hand the preparation of documents for submission to Ministers on this, and aim to issue the necessary entrustment shortly after the Chinese signal their approval.

3.

In the meantime it would be very helpful if you could keep us up to date on progress with the Dutch and let us know when dates are fixed for initial discussions with the Australians, Malaysians and Americans.
