Hong Kong Government and the Government initialled the Agreement on 26 April 1991, the two sides wish to sign the Agreement and to bring it into force as soon as possible. In accordance with the agreement reached at JLG XVI, the British side would like to consult the Chinese on the initialled text and would be grateful to hear any views the Chinese side may have.
