In mid July 1991,15 overseas Chinese students were barred from entering HK upon their arrival at the HK airport despite holding valid transit or double entry visas. Reasons were

not disclosed.

Demonstrators' names, identity card, address and other details are recorded everytime by police under this ordinance. But sufficient reason or evidence of police suspicion of illegal immigrants are not given beforehand to the person concerned.
