She paid him monthly visits and found him to have behaved well in prison and was remorseful for his past misdeeds. hoped that the Prisoner could be granted an early release for a family reunion in view of their old age but she admitted that both she and her husband were still in good health while the children provided regular financial contribution for their living expenses.

From the social enquiry, the Prisoner appeared remorseful towards his past misdeeds. With family support and skills in con- struction work and availability of accommodation, he may stand a chance in his social rehabilitation should he be able to stay away from

his undesirable friends. In view that the Prisoner's parents are not suffering from any hardship and that his own family has left him, there is no apparent social grounds to justify the petition. not supported.
