Itaurant where the deceased had been dining. The deceased was asked to step into the corridor for a discussion about a gambling debt of approximately $1,400 owed by the deceased.
After an altercation the four men attacked the deceased. Although the Petitioner was not seen to be holding a weapon by prosecution witnesses he was observed by one witness making thrusting movements with his arms towards the
deceased. The deceased sustained nine knife-stab wounds (one of which penetrated his lungs), two chopper wounds
(one of which severed the tendons of his

another which cut his shoulder muscle exposing the bone)
and two large weals caused when the deceased was struck on the back by the blunt edge of a knife.

officer has concluded that, as the Petitioner's parents
had worked long hours, the Petitioner had never received sufficient parental supervision and this had led to him mingling with undesirable characters. The Petitioner's mother and father, although elderly, are in good health
and not suffering any hardship.
