Office of the members of the Executive and
Legislative Councils
8 Jackson Road
Hong Kong
Denmark, 7 July 1991
Dear Sir,
As a member of Amnesty International concerned about the existence of the death penalty in different parts of the world, it was with great pleasure that I received the news that the Legislative Council had adopted a motion calling for the death penalty to be abolished in your country.
As Amnesty International opposes the death penalty because it constitutes a violation of the right to life feI would most gratefullylike to thank you for your effort to ensure that the death penalty is abolished in Hong Kong. It is with great confidence that I look forward for the motion to be put into legislation.
Yours respectfully,
Claws Stamtop
