Statement and report to be tabled

in Legislative Council

There shall be laid on the table of the Legislative Council not

later than 31 December next following the end of the financial year

to which they relate, or such later date as the Governor as

President of the Legislative Council may approve

(a) a copy of the signed and audited statement of

accounts of the Corporation or where the Corporation

has wholly owned subsidiaries, the signed and audited

statement or statements of consolidated accounts

together with the auditor's report thereon; and

(b)

a report by the Board of the activities of the

Corporation and of its wholly owned subsidiaries (if

any) during that financial year.

33.

Examination by Director of Audit

(1) The Director of Audit may carry out such examination as he

thinks fit into the economy, efficiency and effectiveness with which

the Corporation has used its resources in carrying out its objects

and performing its duties.

(2) Subsection (1) shall not be construed as entitling the

Director of Audit to question the merits of the policy objectives of

the Corporation.

(3) Subject to subsection (4), the Director of Audit shall

have a right of access at all reasonable times to all such documents

as he may reasonably require for carrying out any examination under

this section and shall be entitled to require from any person

olding or accountable for any such document such information and

·xplanation as are reasonably necessary for that purpose.
