The licensee shall ensure that the total period in
for
broadcasting advertising
and material which shall include material for the promotion of the licensee's station and programme services during a break within programmes and in any interval between programmes shall not exceed 3.5 minutes and 5 minutes respectively. The Authority, in consultation with the Broadcasting Authority, may vary the duration of breaks within and intervals between programmes in the interest of better viewing and presentation.
The licensee shall ensure that the period for broadcasting material for the promotion of the licensee's station and programme services would not exceed 2 minutes in total for any one channel in any clock hour.
9.
While the licensee shall not broadcast any advertisement for tobacco products or invite, offer or accept sponsorship or commercial promotion of such products, the licensee may broadcast events which are the subject of such sponsorship in compliance with the guidelines issued by the Broadcasting
Authority.
10. No advertisement for any medical preparation shall be broadcast without the approval in writing of the Director of Health obtained in respect of the whole of the advertising material.
11. No advertisement of а religious or political nature or concerned with any industrial dispute shall be broadcast.
12. (a) Where a programme is sponsored, the licensee shall
remain responsible for its content.

The licensee shall not permit the sponsoring of any programme of news or religious matter.
Save with the permission of the Authority, in consultation with the Broadcasting Authority the licensee shall not permit the sponsoring of any programme of educational matter.
The licensee shall ensure that any contract for the provision of a sponsored programme contains provisions by virtue of which he acquires the right to refuse to accept or else the right to edit any such programme which does not comply with the standards as laid down by the Governor-in-Council or the Authority consultation with the Broadcasting Authority.
