SCHEDULE 2
PROGRAMME AND ADVERTISING STANDARDS
Any material broadcast by the licensee shall be consistent with the principles of ordinary good taste, decency and common sense; and have respect for the law and social institutions.
The programmes broadcast by the licensee shall exclude material which is
(i) indecent,
propriety;
-
obscene,
vulgar, or of doubtful
(ii) likely to mislead or alarm;
(iii) likely to

encourage or to incite to crime, civil
disorder or civil disobedience;
likely to discredit or bring into disrespect the law or social institutions including any
religion;
likely to be injurious to community well-being or morality, or otherwise undesirable in the public
interest;

likely to serve the interest of any political party; and

licensee shall at all times be responsible for ensuring that the programmes broadcast shall maintain a high general standard of quality.
The licensee shall broadcast news covering international and local affairs impartially and accurately.
Programmes which contain matters that are not generally suitable for viewing by children shall be clearly advertised
as such.

Notwithstanding
Condition 1 of this Schedule, the licensee may broadcast at appropriate times in appropriate
circumstances
(i) genuine works of art or literary merit; and
(ii) programmes giving
social issues.
