I can now reassure you that ministers continue to recognise fully the concerns of HMOCS members and that HMG are in the process of drawing up appropriate arrangements for members of HMOCs in Hong Kong which recognise the change in sovereignty in 1997.
I should be grateful if you would make the contents of this letter known to interested HMOCS officers.
