Dear Establishment Officer
EXECUTIVE AND SUPPORT GRADES: APRIL PAY SETTLEMENT
This letter promulgates new pay rates with effect from 1 April 1990 for executive, support and equivalent grades. It also promulgates revised rates for ADP and accountancy allowances and describes the new starting pay on promotion arrangements for executive grades.
2.
The NUCPS has now formally accepted the offer for executive and support grades after a ballot of members. This letter can be taken as authority to pay the revised rates set out in attached annexes. I would be grateful if you would implement the revised rates of pay and allowances as soon as possible.
3. Annex A gives the revised rates of pay for EO, HEO and SEO grades together with those for the unified office support and museum support grades, museum technicians, the chef/cook class and the instructional officer group. Annex B gives separate rates for those museum support grades who have retained their pay from their former grades under 10 plus 4 pay protection terms.
These new pay rates will be incorporated into the final version of Code Memorandum CM/919.
Executive grades
4. Annex C shows the pay scale and range with effect from 1 April 1990 for all general service and departmental executive grades covered by the flexible pay agreement, together with the mandate grade code. This annex replaces the consequential sheets and letters that were previously sent to departments. It will be re-issued each year amended as appropriate taking account of any changes introduced as a result of the settlement.
5.
Annex D to this letter gives effect from 1 April 1990. The spine point correspond
the revised pay spine with point numbers in annex C directly to the pay rates and spine points as set out
in Annex D.
