KEY MILESTONES
New Airport Steering Committee (NASC) was formed in May 1991 to develop a business plan to assess airport project financial viability
PAA completed the initial Business Plan by early July, demonstrating the airport project could be financially viable
Presentation of the Business Plan was made to the PAA Board and the Government in July 1991, outlining key policy assumptions that needed to be confirmed
Legco approved funding of $6.5 billion for the site preparation contract (SPC) and PAA startup and operating budgets. Final funding to be approved on presentation of the refined Business Plan in early 1992
Work plan identifying key elements of the Business Plan to be refined was established in late July
Refined Business Plan will be completed by year end and presented to PAA Board, Government and Legco for funding approval by beginning of 1992
Business Plan implications will be reflected in AA Ordinance slated for legislative approval by mid 1992
