The way forward will not be entirely clear until we have completed our discussions with the Chinese side. But I hope it will be possible to keep the airport on schedule in line with our original strategy. For the time being. I would simply make the point that giving up substantial property development rights in order to make a project attractive to the private sector is not a cost-free option for the Government.
