Company Background
1.
This note covers Schroders' interests in Hong Kong. SEAD have minuted separately. FED and SAD have no specific
points to add to the attachment to the Schroder's letter of 15 Augusts setting out their project work in Asia.
2. Schroders Asia Ltd is one of Hong Kong's oldest and largest merchant banks. They provide a wide range of financial services including corporate and project finance, credit, and treasury and investment management. Schroders Asia's regional market includes China, South Korea, Taiwan and Philippines. Shareholders in the company are Schroders Plc (75%) and Sir Elly Kadoorie and Sons Ltd (25%). I attach annual report and accounts for 1990.
