The Gallery incorporates the first computerised designer register in Hong Kong, containing details of local designers and companies, a presentation of design history, information on the application and use of materials and on Hong Kong's colleges and institutions. The Gallery boasts a comprehensive library of books, journals and magazines on product development, packaging, graphics and interior design. These services are all geared towards encouraging designers and manufacturers to exchange ideas and develop working business relationships.
The Gallery will also run competitions to stimulate new ideas and discover and develop local talent. Manufacturers will also be able to use the Gallery's facilities to launch new products and test market their latest concepts.
