•Staff have scaled down work-to-rule action since July and requested a meeting with the Works Branch and CSB to resolve the dispute.
Staff continue to refuse to perform seven aspects of duties but have indicated that full duties would be resumed if more promotion posts were created. Meanwhile, CSB is examining BLD's submission to regrade Survey Officers as a technical inspectorate grade.
The staff association has formed a working group to map out its strategy to express dissatisfaction with the cross-promotion exercise between Lecturer and Inspector grades in the Department. So far, staff's refusal to perform overtime or non-professional duties has caused little disruption.
