election, means the address specified in a
notice of ordinary election published under
regulation 3 or a notice of by-election
published under regulation 4, as the case
may be, in respect of such election."; and
(a) by repealing the definition of "working day".
Regulation 2 is amended by adding after paragraph (1)
"(2) A requirement in these regulations that any notice or
other matter be delivered to the returning officer shall be
construed as a requirement that it be so delivered during
normal office hours on any day other than a public holiday or a
Saturday.".
3. Regulation substituted
Regulation 3 is repealed and the following substituted
"13.
Notice of ordinary election
(1) As soon as practicable after the date of publication
in the Gazette of a notice under section 5A (3) of the
