LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL (ELECTORAL PROVISIONS) (PROCEDURE) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1991

1. Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Legislative Council (Electoral Provisions) (Procedure) (Amendment) Regulations 1991.

The Legislative Council (Electoral Provisions) (Procedure) Regulations (Cap. 381 sub. leg.) are amended by adding after

regulation 35 -

"35A.

Postponement of election

(1) If at any time before the holding of an election

("original election") under section 3 (1) of Ordinance the

Governor is of the opinion that the election is likely to be disrupted, undermined or seriously affected by the occurrence

of a typhoon or some other climatic conditions of a serious

nature, or by the occurrence of some other natural emergency or catastrophe that has already arisen or is likely to arise immediately before or during that election, he may, by notice published in the Gazette or, if such publication is not
