APPOINTMENT OF LEADER OF GOVERNMENT BUSINESS

(1) The Governor shall appoint as Leader of Government Business the person elected to that office by an Electoral Council as provided by

Article B.

(2) The Leader of Government Business shall hold office for four

years from the first day of the month following his election unless he earlier resigns or is removed from office.

(3) The Governor shall remove the Leader of Government Business from

office:

a) [following the passing of a motion for impeachment [adapt

Basic Law 72(9)11;

b) [following the passing of a no confidence motion unless LegCo

is dissolved within one month of such motion] [? only one

dissolution in any one term of a Leader of Government

Business].
