Procedure

Applications must be submitted by registered mail or personal delivery

the British Nationality Division, Immigration Department, 7 Gloucester Road, Wanchai, by February 28, 1991. A list of applicants for each service is then compiled in alphabetical order without showing the provisional points scored.

the heads of various services who will provide additional Information on the applicants' performance appraisal records, commendations etc. for computing special circumstances points. They are then returned

the Immigration Department and anonymous lists in the order of points scored are produced for consideration by the Steering Committee. After any further necessary adjustment, a list of candidates who have scored enough points

come within the quota for the relevant department or service Will be produce7. Thereafter, procedures will be the same as that for the GOO.

Sensitive Service Class

The SSC covers 6 300 people whom the Governor may recommend in view of their service

the interests of the Crown, whether in the private or public sector, or their activities Of a sensitive nature.

Many of the individuals concerned have already been identified by virtue of their position and area of work and will be invited to submit applications to the Immigration Department.

Certain other people might qualify for inclusion in this section on the basis of information coming to the notice Of the Governor in other ways. People who feel they have a claim to consideration under this class may submit applications and state that they wish to apply under this class in section 1 of Form BN (BK) 3. They may give their grounds for special consideration in their application forms.

Once the information in the applications has been verified. Immigration Officers will scrutinise the applications and, if all is in order. the names will be submitted to the Steering Committee and then to the Governor who, if
