Why is it that the Bill of Rights be based only on the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Does this indicate that Government attach lesser importance to the International Covenant on Economic,

Social and Cultural Rights?

The ICCPR is a comprehensive international codification of basic civil and political rights and

rights and its provisions are interpreted and applied by the UNHRC. Our judges will be required to have regard to the interpretations.
