HONG KONG: KEY DATES FOR PADS CONTRACTS
You asked for a note on key dates for PADS related
contracts to be available for Tian Zengpei's call on Lord
Caithness.

The note handed over by the Hong Kong Government to the
Chinese does not set out specific dates for when the "very important" decisions on the airport railway, the two runways
and the overall timing of the airport project will be taken.
It only says "in early 1991". But the note makes clear
HKG's willingness to discuss them in advance with the
Chinese at expert level and by the Governor in his visit to
China in January 1991.
3. The note does however set out the months in which
tenders will be sought for a number of the major contracts,
as follows:
