(a) our aim is to gazette the Lantau Fixed Crossing

on 14 December under the Roads (Works, Use and

Compensation) Ordinance, in order to give the

opportunity for obiections to be maño ·

(e) our aim is to publish a notice on 15 January in

the Gazette under the Roads (Works, Use and

Compensation) Ordinance giving the opportunity

for objections to be made against the

construction of the Tsing Yi and Kwai Chung

section of Route 2. and

(f)

our aim is to gazette the First Phase of the

North Lantau Expressway in January under the

Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance, in

order to give the opportunity for objections to

be made.

I would lastly point out that a number of very

important decisions are due to be taken in early

1991. These relate to the timing and scope of the

airport railway; the reclamation of land for the two

airport runways and the timing for the construction of

the second of these; and the timing of the opening of

the first runway of the airport. Before finalising

these decisions, we hope to have further discussions

with the Chinese side. These discussions could be
