During the expert talks on the new airport and related
projects, the Hong Kong side mentioned to the Chinese
expert team that a number of actions were anticipated
in the immediate future to take forward the airport
core projects. Today I would like to give you some
written material to confirm and amplify what we told
your team. The purpose of doing so is to ensure that
we keep your side fully informed on this programme, as
we have undertaken.

The Chinese side may find useful a document prepared
by our PADS Information Unit on a regular basis since
April 1990 listing key dates for PADS-related
consultancies and works projects. I would today like
to provide you with a copy produced in November.
