You are chairing a meeting in the India Office Council Chamber at 1700 to review our current strategy in relation to the Anglo-Japanese consortium's bid for the Lantau fixed link contract. Those present will include Sir Gordon Manzie (Chairman of the Anglo-Japanese consortium), Mr John Fletcher (Trafalgar House), Mr Jim Langford (Costains), Mr Peter Heap, Mr Christian Adams and Mr Richard Rogers
(DTI). I understand that Mr Heap is meeting Sir G Manzie and Mr Fletcher this morning and will be calling on Mr Adams and Mr Rogers to debrief them on the outcome at 1630.
