Mrs Chalker will be attending a meeting of the

Cabinet Legislation Committee on 6 November at which the

Armed Forces Bill 1991 is on the agenda. At the request of

the Private Office, I submit:

a memorandum by the Minister of State for the Armed Forces describing the main features of the Bill.

the draft Bill, with its own explanatory memorandum.

a proposed additional clause amending Section 50 of the

British Nationality Act 1981.
