Excepting the PRC and the UK the plan is that by end-1993 a set of discrete HK ASAs will have replaced HK/second country ASAS or other arrangements governing scheduled air services to and from Hong Kong. Three SAS have been signed and are in force (Netherlands, Canada and Brunei). The Switzerland ASA has been signed and will come into force when Swiss

constitutional procedures are completed. The separated ASA with France will be signed shortly. Five further ASAS will be signed once consultations with the Chinese side have been completed (New Zealand, Brazil, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India).
