ST JOHNS BUILDING : SUBLETTING

1.

The enclosed floor layout drawing, number SJ03A, with attached schedule of alterations shows the works which will be necessary to prepare the third floor for the proposed subletting.

2. The layout has been discussed and agreed with Security Department in liaison with TSD who will be modifying the IDS system to take account of the revised layout.

We take your point regarding the undesirability of public access through your reception area, in our view this can best be resolved by limiting the tenancy to a department without need for access from the public.

Security Department have no objection to the tenants holding a key to the roller shutter and have agreed Rooms 301 and 302 can continue to be used as reading rooms by BTC staff. However, these rooms are not acceptable as full time confidential offices and the Second Secretary will have to be located in the conference room, as you suggest.

I am copying letter and enclosures to Russell Jarvis, in order that he may obtain a costing for the alternations. I suggest that Concorde Construction Company should be approached for the quotation they are the contractors who did the fitting out work.

6. I hope that we have been able to address all the matters raised and would be grateful for your approval and comment on the proposals.
