JLG OFFICE: FUTURE ROLE AND STAFFING

1.

In connection with work on the future British Consulate General, I have been looking at past papers on the future of the JLG office. The last substantive piece of work seems to be the paper enclosed with Mr Leicester's letter of 3 July 1989 to Mr Martin (HKC031/3 1989 folio 60). However, Mr Martin mentioned during his recent mid tour leave visit that there had been some subsequent correspondence between you and Mr Galsworthy.

2. Perhaps on my own return from leave on 3 September, we could discuss whether further work is required on this subject.
