The Secretary General of the Customs Co-operation Council presents his compliments to the Embassy and has the honour to announce that the Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has notified, by a letter received on 14 December 1973, that His Government has decided to extend the provisions of the following Conventions to Hong Kong :
Customs Convention concerning facilities for the importa- tion of goods for display or use at exhibitions,
fairs, meetings or similar events
Customs Convention concerning the temporary importation of professional equipment
- Customs Convention on the ATA carnet for the temporary
admission of goods (ATA Convention).
These notifications will take effect on
14 March 1974.
Two copies of a Note concerning these notifica- tions are enclosed with the present verbal note.
The Secretary General would be grateful if this information could be brought to the attention of the competent governmental authorities and avails himself of this opportunity to renew to the Embassy the assurance of his high consideration.
