the United Kingdom when ratifying this Convention on following options will be exercised by Hong Kong:

19 July 1963, the

Hong Kong will accept ATA carnets for goods temporarily imported under the International Convention to Facilitate the Importation of Commercial Samples and Advertising Material (1952);

Hong Kong will accept ATA carnets issued and used for goods in transit;

Hong Kong will not accept ATA carnets for postal

traffic.

The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (9th Floor, Union House, Hong Kong) has been approved-for designation as the issuing and guaranteeing association for ATA carnets in Hong Kong.

I request that you inform me of the date on which this extension shall take effect.
