I have the honour to refer to the three Customs Conventions which
were opened for signature at Brussels in 1961, namely:
a.
the Customs Convention. concerning Facilities for the Importation of Goods for Display or Use at Exhibitions, Fairs, Meetings or Similar Events, opened for signature on 8 June 1961;
b. the Customs Convention on the Temporary Importation
of Professional Equipment, also opened for signature on 8 June 1961; and
c. the Customs Convention on the "ATA Carnet" for the
Temporary Admission of Goods, opened for signature on 6 December 1961.
In accordance with the provisions of Articles 22, 19 and 25 respectively of the three Conventions, I have the honour to
declare on behalf of the Government of the United Kingdom of
Great Britain and Northern Ireland that the said Conventions
shall hereby extend to Hong Kong.
In acceding to the Customs Convention concerning Facilities for . the Importation of Goods for Display or Use at Exhibitions, Fairs, Meetings or Similar Events, Hong Kong does not wish to notify any reservation under the terms of Article 23 of that
Convention.
As regards the Convention on Professional Equipment, Hong Kong will accept as binding all three Annexes as provided for in Article 15 paragraph 5 of the Convention.
As regards the Customs Convention on the "ATA Carnet" for the Temporary Admission of Goods, under the provisions of Article 3
paragraphs 2 and 3 and in accordance with the reservation made in accordance with the provisions of Article 26 paragraph 1 by
