Hong Kong Disciplined Services Medal

We were very pleased to learn that the Secretary for the Civil Service has no objection to extending the Hong Kong Disciplined Services Medal to ICAC staff (SCS's memo (8) in L/M(1) in SM 3/31 (88) II of 29.12.89 refers).

2.

As regards the procedures which are now needed to achieve the extension, we think that it would probably be more appropriate and practical to amend the existing Royal Warrant to include ICAC officers' eligibility. As the ICAC does not have any formal avenue of direct liaison with either the

either Home Office or the FCO would be most grateful if you

could agree

to co-ordinate the necessary arrangements on

behalf, including the involvement of SCA.

Would you please let me know if this is acceptable to you and whether you require any further information or assistance from me.
